At Mythos Suites Hotel, breakfast is more than a meal. It’s a chance to discover some of Crete’s gastronomic treasures. Our philosophy is simple: we want guests to feel the warmth of true Greek hospitality and enjoy the same authentic products we choose for our own homes.
Local ingredients, homemade favourites
We prepare our breakfast buffet with organic ingredients from small producers across Crete and the rest of Greece. You’ll find sweet and savoury Cretan pastries, freshly baked bread, local jams and preserves, nut spreads and our homemade lemon curd.
Creamy Greek yoghurt is served with homemade sugar-free granola, cereals, nuts and seasonal fruit, ready for a drizzle of Cretan honey. It’s a colourful invitation to slow down and enjoy the flavours of the island.
Cretan flavours to start your day
Choose from local cheeses and cured meats, fresh eggs, or crisp dakos topped with tomatoes, feta and olive oil from Nadia and Manolis’s garden. Every day brings new homemade cakes or savoury treats to the breakfast table.
Of course, no morning at Mythos is complete without a cup of hot coffee or tea, accompanied by a refreshing glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Enjoy your favourite combination before heading out to explore Rethymno and the rest of Crete.

Join us daily from 08:30 to 10:30 in our cool dining room or shady courtyard. Then head out to explore our beautiful island, well fed and full of energy.
